HOW TO JOIN HILLCREST COMMUNITY CHURCH

Hillcrest Community rejoices with anyone, who has made a commitment to follow Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and be baptized. Baptism doesn´t make you a believer it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not "save" you, only your faith in Christ does that. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Our church believes that baptism is by immersion, just as the Bible says, and is reserved for those who are old enough to recognize their sinfulness and their need for Jesus' forgiveness. "And Jesus, when He had been baptized, went up immediately out of the water."Matthew 3:16

To become a member of Hillcrest Community Church we require only what Jesus required of His Church. Because Christ commanded baptism for His followers, we require the same. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
